The ARCH Project

The clips to the right show what students can do when they step out side the box. They took their energy, passion, and belief that they could make a positive difference in their world and they did. They helped create, lobbied for, and saw the Governor sign into law HB 413. This legislation grants a tax abatement to developers who build wetland habitats instead of detention ponds...wetland habitats filter 80% of pollutants out of storm water runoff (like oil, gasoline, fertilizers and pesticides) before the water gets to our streams and rivers.

They epitomize Margaret Mead when she said “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”
